ActiveFax has a client-server architecture and stores all data on a fax server. The integration of an ActiveFax fax client and printer allows you to easily send fax messages from any application. Use an ActiveFax printer as the target printer. At this point, a dialog will appear on the screen with a question about the recipient (or list of recipients) of the message. To select the recipient, you can use the general or personal phone book.

ActiveFax then sends the document to a fax server, which automatically saves and sends it (the speed of fax transmission depends on its degree of urgency and the availability of fax lines). If a message is sent unsuccessfully, the call is automatically repeated using a special re-dialing technology. The software automatically informs the author of the document about the result of sending by means of reports, e-mails or a pop-up window on the fax client.

Availability from any workplace

Thanks to the client-server architecture, all documents are available to users from any workstation on the network. A user’s access to documents is limited by his or her rights. By using extension numbers, you can automatically send incoming messages to specific e-mail addresses. For each user, you can set up automatic printing of fax messages on a specific printer and automatic transmission of received faxes by e-mail.

Send faxes from other applications

Through the programming interface, ActiveFax easily integrates with other applications, allowing you to use them to send fax and e-mail messages. Thus, you can use other applications to place or confirm the order by fax. All information about the message (fax number, subject, degree of urgency, etc.) is indicated in the input fields. They integrate with almost any type of application, regardless of its programming language or installed operating system, so you can send messages from any program.
