AIDA – Software Information
AIDA64 provides incredibly detailed information not only about the computer hardware, but also about the operating system and installed programs. It provides a list of processes and services that are running, .dll and .ax files, installed Windows updates, scheduled tasks, installed fonts, and even webpages that you have opened in Internet Explorer. Windows runtime statistics and blue screen errors are also provided.
It is possible to change some settings related to the software. In particular, you can start or stop processes, clear the browser history or remove some programs from the autorun list – all with the help of AIDA64, without launching an external application.
The file scanner* function allows you to scan the client for a specific file extension and save a list of such files in the report. For example, if a system administrator wants to check whether any media files are stored on corporate computers, then with the help of AIDA64 you can compile such a list with a few mouse clicks. Similarly, you can verify that some files and folders are available on client computers. Among other things, this feature can be useful when tracking applications that, for some reason, are not shown in the list of installed programs in Windows.
In addition, the program can make a list of all the environment variables available in Windows, and create an event log where you can sort the information using various filters.
* The file scanner feature is not available in AIDA64 Extreme and AIDA64 Engineer versions.
This feature is supported in the following versions:
